Before iTunes, there was a three horse race when it came to media players and streaming. There was RealPlayer, Windows Media Player and of course WinAmp, the one that really kicked the llamas arse.

In the Oosty household, it was WinAmp that played our Napster downloaded songs in the late 90’s and early 2000’s on our Windows 98 run HP Pavillions. It was sleek, it had a great array of plugin and skins and most importantly it had support for both MP3 and WAV files (this was a HUGE deal).
