Apple has announced a new original comedy series from Jason Sudeikis and Bill Lawrence, that will premiere on Apple TV+.
Sudeikis plays Ted Lasso, a not so important college American football coach from Kansas brought in to coach a professional football (the soccer variety) team in England, despite having absolutely no experience coaching real football.
Sudeikis also serves as executive producer, alongside Bill Lawrence – famous for Scrubs. The duo developed the series alongside Joe Kelly and Brendan Hunt, and is based on the the format and characters from NBC Sports.
