For years The Boogeyman entertained WWE fans and created unforgettable moments in his career. From smashing a clock on his head and eating worms to finishing off opponents such as JBL, Booker T, Finlay and The Miz with the BoogeySlam.
The Boogeyman is one of the most memorable and unique characters to ever appear in the WWE.
Despite breaking the rules of Tough Enough, WWE were so impressed with him that they signed him to a developmental contract with Ohio Valley Wrestling. First appearing on WWE TV in 2005 on Smackdown, creeping around the locker room and would scaring others by appearing in some of the most unexpected places. It wasn’t until Survivor Series that same year that The Boogeyman would make his first in-ring appearance, assaulting Eric Bischoff to help then SmackDown General Manager Teddy Long defeat the former Raw General Manager.
One major moment in the career of The Boogeyman is his memorable rivalry with the legendary Booker T. After a while of stalking and scaring Booker T and wife Sharmell, the rivalry culminated at Wrestlemania 22. Ending in Boogeyman pinning Booker T and kissing Sharmell while holding a mouthful of worms after the match.
Boogeyman’s rivalry with Finlay and Hornswoggle would see him bring a Little Boogeyman to compete alongside him in a tag team match at No Way Out in 2007. Where unfortunately, Boogeyman and Little Boogeyman weren’t able to come away with the win on that night.
From notable feuds with the likes of Robbie Dewbar in OVW, JBL, Booker T & Sharmell, Finlay & Hornswoggle, Kane, Matt Striker and Big Daddy V. There is no doubt that not only is The Boogeyman a legendary character within WWE, but he will go down as one of the most memorable characters in all of professional wrestling.
In 2006, Boogeyman was named the Rookie of the year by Pro Wrestling Illustrated and also came in at #259 of the PWI 500 in the same year. On the 25th of April, 2015, The Boogeyman won the Alabama Wrestling Federation Tag Team Championship with Bobby Lashley after defeating The CWO.
But since his most recent WWE appearance at the Royal Rumble in 2015, fans have been anticipating an appearance of The Boogeyman back on WWE TV. Never say never, because you never know when The Boogeyman is comin to getcha!
