Campo Santo is a super-studio, a new studio created of prime artists from Double Fine, Klei, Telltale, and 2K Marin. With the powers of ‘Mark of the Ninja’ lead Nels Anderson, ‘Walking Dead: Season One’ leads Sean Vanaman and Jake Rodkin, ex-‘Irrational’ and ‘Double Fine’ man Chris Remo, and the much talented Olly Moss among many others combined, we proceed to get a story-based mystery regarding isolation, the crawling unknown, and human relationships set in forest regions of Wyoming. It’s name, Firewatch, and it looks fascinating.
What is a Firewatch and who watches the Firewatchmen? Well, it’s a first-person story game concerning these things:

Firewatch centers on Henry, a newly recruited Wyoming fire lookout and his supervisor, Delilah. Here, Delilah has just sent Henry off to yell at a couple drunken idiots setting off fireworks in the woods. So far we only have a general idea of Henry’s interactions with Delilah, how he navigates the world, and the mysterious ways of the forest that will set its story in full swing.
By what proportion of triumphs, in terms of surreality, Firewatch can actually be – that is our own mystery to solve on launch day, however I’m pretty keen to work through the suspenseful setting
For now, I will gaze upon the stunning visuals that this game promises.
UPDATE: The folks at Campo Santo have provided 17 minutes of in game footage.
