The people behind Playstation have kept their lips sealed this time around where previously in the last couple of months the instant game collection for the respective months have been either leaked online early or hinted at on social media by various game developers.

The new lineup has been officially announced and features a number of games from all kinds of genres, Playstation 4 continues to offer some relatively new indie games for subscribers and much like PS Vita while Playstation 3 users will get a great offering this month and enjoy some AAA rated games.

Update:

This month’s free games are:

PS4: Road Not Taken

PS4: FEZ

PS3: Crysis 3

PS3: Proteus

PS Vita: Metrico

PS Vita: LEGO Harry Potter 5-7 Years

North American subscribers will get Dragon’s Crown instead of Lego Harry Potter for PS Vita.
Playstation users have a lot to look forward to in August namely Gamescom and the new game announcements/trailers plus a possible system update 1.80 which is rumoured to include media playback which has been highly requested since the PS4’s arrival late last year.

Speaking of system updates, this week we will see a new patch numbered 1.75 which includes 3D movie playback support. Microsoft announced a few weeks ago that they are going to add that feature next month but it seems Sony caught wind of that and stepped up software development to hurry it out and beat them to the punch.
