WWE has embraced the Female Wrestling Revolution, a lot of which can be read here on FNX Network by our great author Rhi, and it continues today. One of Australia’s hottest female free agents Demi Bennett has signed with ‘the E’. The first steps in her WWE career will be at the WWE Performance Center in NXT territory Orlando, Florida.
Bennett has been in trials conducted by WWE during the NXT Live tour in 2016. At only 20 years of age with almost 4 years of experience – this is an opportunity that could help not only Female Wrestling in general but rocket the industry in Australia. She has fought in Riot City Wrestling along with many indie federations in the island continent causing shock waves that were obviously felt in the Stanford WWE Headquarters. She will be joining the increasing number of Australians in WWE, along with Emma, Billie Kay, Peyton Royce , Buddy Murphy, Shane Thorne and Nick Miller.
Bennett joins the list of recent female signings of WWE, which look to continue in the coming months. As the same company has confirmed, they are planning to hold an organized women’s tournament in the same way as the Cruiserweight Classic and WWE UK Championship.
