[dropcaps style=’2′]Wassssssssssssssssssup?! Mark Foley (Vandy to some of you) here with a project I have been tossing around for a while. You’ve heard me on the World’s Almost Finest podcast talk about my love for the current craze for anything and everything 90s. I’ve been obsessed with the 90’s for as long as I can remember. Being born in September of 1990, I like to think of myself as a bit of a 90’s fanatic. The TV shows were top of the line, the cartoons blow the crap out of the hot trash we get on TV today, the music was incredible … all in all, the 90’s were the last great decade. If that tag line sounds familiar, it’s because you probably heard about it on the National Geographic Channel.[/dropcaps]
[image src=’http://fnx.network/fnxnetwork/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/90s.jpg’ width=’264′ height=’264′ title=’Source: Me… Mark Vandy’ align=’right’]So, to get things started, I’ll give you guys a bit of a synopsis of what to expect with the Retro Roundup. With Retro Roundup, you can expect something different on a somewhat regular basis. Depending on what kind of mood I’m in, you guys might get a Buzzfeed-esque “Top ___” article where I rank games/movies/etc., you may get an in-depth look at one specific topic such as Super Mario World for the SNES or the TV series Seinfeld, or you may just get a mind dump of rubbish. Who knows?! I sure as hell don’t.
By no means am I an articulate writer nor am I good at making my thoughts organized and make sense so bare with me and for those that are better than myself with the written English language, provide support. If you feel like I go light on the organization or heavy on the run-on sentences, just know you’ll always get a plethora of passion from me when I’m talking about the 90’s. Anyone that has talked to me in person or via social media about that decade will know my passion is almost sickening with how much I love the 90s.
I’m always free to suggestions about what you guys want to read about and what style you want to read … who knows, I may give you guys a special VLog every once in a blue moon if I’m feeling super froggy … so please, leave feedback with what you like, what you don’t like, what you’d like to see and all that jazz here at Retro Roundup.
Sit back, take a chill pill and enjoy your escape from the zaniness of the current times we live in with nonstop connection to the people around us and journey back to a much simpler time when the most important thing you had to do on Friday nights was make sure you were in front of the TV with your friends or family and getting ready to watch the TGIF lineup brought to you by ABC or get up early on Saturday for ABC’s One Saturday Morning cartoon lineup!
ENJOY!
