Thanks to the fighting win over a spirited South African side, China PR has taken the lead in France. Chinese dominance could and should have had more objectives, but they will be delighted with three points which effectively have benefited even more than themselves from two European superpowers. As a consequence of China’s win, Hosts France and two-time German champions advanced to a round of 16.

The combined score in South Africa’s four matches against China has so far been 29-0 to the Chinese People’s Republic.

Banyana Banyana played more actively than their opponents and defended the first half almost completely. Banyana couldn’t hold and finally defended themselves too deeply. No outcome has yet been achieved with Thembi Kgatlana and Refiloe Jane switch sides. During the second quarter, Desiree Ellis required to make the winger deliver the solitary striker a little more rapid.
