The United States Womens National Soccer Team have defeated rivals and reigning champions Japan at the 2015 Womens World Cup Final in Vancouver, Canada.
Japan went in at favourites but within 5 minutes the Yankees lead by 2 points.
Forward Carli Lloyd scored a fantastic hat-trick in th 16 minutes following kick off (the quickest in each men’s and women’s World Cup history) while Team USA raced past a shell-shocked and rudderless Japan within the beginning stages.
It established excellent revenge for USA, who lost to Japan at the previous World Cup final four years past. USA became the foremost successful team within the history of the Women’s World Cup.
A well-worked corner routine in precisely the third minute saw Lloyd hammer home from close proximity before she doubled USA’s lead 2 minutes later.
Japan struggled time and time once more defending set pieces as a free kick booted from right-sided flank was at first hand-balled by a Japan defender before Simon side-footed home.

The humiliation appeared complete for Japan once Simon completed her hat-trick, lobbing the ball way over the dispirited Ayumi Kaihori from miles out.
The hat-trick created Lloyd be a part of top-scorer for the tournament with Germany’s Celia Sasic with six goals, all of those were scored in her last four games.
Japan took a goal back to form it 4-1 as Yuki Ogimi controlled a cross within the box before curling it past Hope Solo.
The Japanese reduced the catch up needed to 2 once Julie Johnstone headed in to her own goal, however the three-goal stronghold was fixed before long as Tobin Heath smashed home.
Abby Wambach and Christie Rampone came off the bench to nice grand applause 249th and 308th caps respectively, however no additional goals would follow as USA cruised to a record third triumph, adding to their 1991 and 1999 titles.
Lloyd’s surge of goals late in the tournament saw her net the Golden Ball award for the tournament’s player.
