The Brothers basketball club have defeated the Poolwerx Hawks in a thrilling game 46-39. The Hawks that went undefeated 17-0 in the regular season last year were the heavy favourites but new recruits for the Brothers Thomas Tamine and William Chami were confident that the Brothers could upset the Hawks and snap their unbeaten start to the season.
The Brothers led 22-19 at halftime. The Hawks pulled within 40-35 but William Chami took over and knocked down some clutch shots to put the icing on the cake to defeat the Hawks for the first time this season.
