After hearing this the first time I sat down with FNX member and musician from ‘Done Clinic, known around here as Profit and he explained how it came together.
So, that is a single from my group ‘Done Clinic. We really are the Western MA Wu-Tang in terms of the make-up of the group. You got Sicarii. He is the leader of the team as far as stature in the game. He was in a fairly successful local group Kin-Dread with Frank White. He’s really inventive with his schemes and generally an overtly aggressive cat, which is what the genres all about.
Then you got Bishop. He’s the most Italian dude in the world. Like, he loves that sh**. He is by far the most mainstream sounding out of the team. He put out a project, which I’m on, a year ago and I’ll link that here when I’m less on the run. It is a great project and really shows who he is as far as being religious and conflicted and just interesting.
Legacy is the other dude. He has had a genuine evolution as an emcee since our debut project. Really early 90’2 ish stuff, which isn’t to say its simple. He just words things in an interesting way. Onstage, he goes in. I’ve never performed with a more energetic person, ever.
And then there is me. My name is Earl, some folks still call me Profit but now I go by the Black Jesus Experience and Friends AKA The Ghost In The Machine AKA Anonymous but mostly BJ Pen. I am a product of very early DMX, Ready To Die and a childhood spent listening to sad country songs. I’m the pessimist of the team, on our first group project I wrote mostly about suicide. I’m a real guy. I’m insecure, a little discontented but at the end of the day, I aspire to make music that can be considered artistic in its merit.
I planned to end this there. But we at FNX support independent artists and we’d like to post a link to the newest ‘Done Clinic project, released everywhere tonight. Here is Legal Dope. Enjoy. Check them out for more information and music.
