[dropcaps style=’2′]President of TNA Dixie Carter has issued the first public statement from the company since the rumours of the Spike TV channel dropping the promotion.[/dropcaps]
She says “Impact Wrestling will remain a vital part of Spike TV’s programming on Wednesday nights”, we at FNX believe this will seperate the company from competition with WWE and Monday Night Football. Last week’s new timeslot on Wednesday began at 9pm (American EST) and is believed to remain this way for the duration of the new deal which as Dixie has said will last “through the end of the year”.
She did touch on the future of TNA which is simply left as “Negotiations remain ongoing beyond this time frame.” this suggests that Spike TV still have an interest in TNA but may demand hierarchy reform or lower rights costs.
