The E3 2018 expo showed a trailer for the next part of the Fallout series, Fallout 76, they also announced a beta for the game for you to try and break… as long as you pre-order.
A game that is single player but for the first time in the series – co-op.
The trailer was actually first shown at the E3 Xbox presentation and repeated during the companies own show. This happened because apparently Bethesda has entered into an agreement with Xbox, I say apparently because the console beta is exclusive to Microsoft’s Xbox One – only after some time you will be able to play it on the PlayStation 4 too.
Multiplayer of Fallout 76 is official and I am keen to try it out having grown tired of obeying the law in GTA V. Todd Howard, director of Bethesda Game Studios, explains that the idea for a Fallout multiplayer arose during the development of the fourth installment. They loved the idea, but ultimately decided against the mode and for the infamous single player game.
However, the multiplayer idea wasn’t all abandoned, it kept emerging in some fashion. In addition, numerous multiplayer developers began at Bethesda Game Studios Austin, who had gained experience with Ultima Online, Star Wars: Galaxies and Star Wars: The Old Republic. They now want to bring this experience into Fallout 76.
How good the multiplayer in Fallout 76 is, you can convince yourself from the 14th of November this year – or earlier if you pre-order the game and you participate in the beta. Fallout 76 appears for the PC, the Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
