Olivia Isabel Rodrigo is known for her roles as Paige Olvera on the Disney Channel series Bizaardvark and Nini Salazar-Roberts on the Disney+ series High School Musical: The Musical: The Series.
She released her debut single “Drivers License” in January 2021, which reached number one in many countries worldwide, including the United States.
On the last day before Covid lockdown, she met the team at Interscope/Geffen records and a producer named Dan Nigro for the first time. She spent most of quarantine writing songs in her living room and producing them in a garage, including ‘Drivers License’. She describes it as a really special song to her but never expected the response it got. It blew her mind as it still does to this day.
