Google has made a significant update to Google Search for Android introducing a new shopping feature which has us ready to swipe at a chance to test it out.
It comes in a form within Google Search as a card that informs you about nearby stores which carry products you’ve previously Googled on… well, Google.
The empire of Search (Google) didn’t let know exactly how long the app will remember which products you’ve searched for previously… however I suspect if you clear your cookies it will obtain a quick bout of amnesia.
You can download the new update now directly from Google Play at no charge. No word yet on the iOS or other platform variants.
Unfortunately it only tells you of stores which are known to carry the item you searched for, it does not tell you if it is in stock or if it has been discontinued. Perhaps this will be featured in future releases.
Happy searching!
