It may not have OS X which was widely rumoured but this could be the game changer for Apple who are looking to capture businesses and schools who still insist on PC. The new device has (as expected) a 12.9-inch diagonal length, it comes with Apple’s fastest A9X CPU and is available with an optional accessory The Apple Pencil and a new keyboard cover.
Yes, this sound like the Microsoft Surface Pro 3… That is no coincidence, Apple vs Microsoft is on again.
With the iPad Pro, Apple wants to make up ground, especially in business and hardcore users. iPad Pro is therefore packed with technology: a new A9X processor which smashes the A8X CPU in the iPad Air 2 is – the graphics GPU is even twice as fast… it is even about possible to cut up to three 4K video streams simultaneously in iMovie (yes the iOS edition).
The storage facilities will begin, unlike all iPhones and iPads, at 32 GB; even Apple can’t figure a way to flog a 16GB release. Storage will go up to 128 GB. With the re-introduction of the MacBook, some expected to see USB-C in the iPad Pro. However, a Lightning port will be the sole physical interface for external devices attaching to this 10 hour battery powered mega-iPad. Despite this the device is 6.9 millimeters which is only 0.8 millimeters thicker than the iPad Air 2.
The 12.9-inch screen with a 2732 by 2048 resolution can show two iPad apps side by side in full resolution all thanks to the Split View in iOS 9. It is also possible to use a vrtual full sized keyboard. There will be two extra speakers in the Pro iPad and just like other iPad’s before hand there is an option to have LTE/4G capacity.
Some nifty accesories will be released with the iPad Pro to compliment the pseudo-hybrid device.

Apple offers the Apple Pencil the first time a stylus has officially been offered by Apple, which will support the new Force-touch display with pressure detection. This actually looks like a pencil. A pressure sensor in the tip of the pen makes it possible to use the device as a real pen on the iPad Pro. Loading the pen over a Lighting connector on the side where normally one would find an eraser.
Microsoft’s Office apps will support the pen from launch – so drawings can be made that are translated directly into clean forms about in PowerPoint. The entries are stored in the document and can also be viewed on Windows devices.
Similarly, there is a new Keyboard Cover. This is clipped on the new magnetic smart connector on the iPad Pro, through it is routed data and power. Again, similiar to the iPad Pro.
Prices are estimates at the moment with $800 US dollars for the 32 gigabyte version with WiFi only, US $950 will be the damage for 128GB with WiFi and the best-equipped version with 128GB and LTE will cost $ 1,080 USD. The Pencil will be 100 US dollars, and another $170 USD for the keyboard.
The colors are as usual gold, silver and Space Grey. Pre-Orders start in October and the shipment will start in November. The iPad Pro will be already equipped with iOS 9.1 by that time.
